From installer to first command.

The desktop uses a secure browser sign-in. Standalone browser/Revit plugin users should keep their plugin key private and revoke it if compromised.

  1. 01

    Download the Windows installer

    Download revit-mcp-plugin-setup-v4.5.19.exe on the same Windows machine that runs Autodesk Revit.

  2. 02

    Install with Revit closed

    Close every Revit window, run the installer, follow its prompts, and restart Revit when installation completes.

  3. 03

    Open the Revit add-in

    Open a project, select the Add-ins ribbon tab, find Revit MCP, and open its settings.

    Sign in through the desktop app

    Open Datum Copilot or Datumm Copilot Desktop and sign in through the system browser. No manual API pairing is required for the desktop flow.

  5. 05

    Connect and start a run

    Use Revit MCP Switch to refresh the realtime connection. When Datumm reports Realtime or Connected, submit a plan or build instruction.
