About Datumm

Revit automation should be powerful without becoming opaque.

Datumm is an AI-assisted control surface for Autodesk Revit. It converts design intent into a plan, routes approved operations to the active model, and reports the run as it unfolds.

Why we built it

Keep designers in control of the automation.

Repetitive model edits consume attention that should go to design decisions. General-purpose chat alone does not solve that problem: a live BIM session needs validated operations, model context, connection awareness, and clear failure handling.

Datumm brings those pieces together. The Copilot plans against supported Revit tools, resolves project context such as levels, executes through the connected plugin, and keeps an operational record instead of hiding the work behind a loading spinner.

Product principles

Plan explicitly

Translate a request into inspectable operations before changing a live project.

Ground the work

Combine model context with retrieved design rules and deterministic residential workflows.

Execute visibly

Expose the active step, Revit tool, result, and connection state throughout a run.

Design for live sessions

Treat transport failures, partial execution, and recovery as core product states.

See the workflow in your own Revit session.

Install the plugin, connect Copilot, and start with a reviewable plan.
